Our church supplies a "quiet bag" to help little ones stay occupied during church. We keep it simple with coloring pages, a small toy, and some colored pencils. No markers or crayons are allowed. :)
I decided to make some little booklets "Sermon Notes" that the kids can write and draw in then take home.
I'll show you what I made. These are VERY simple and I'll change them up from time to time. I designed them with reader/writers and non-reader/writers in mind.
I just used an inexpensive graphics program that I've had for years.

I love coming up with things to help children interact with Christ. Maybe you have other ideas you can share. I'd love to know about what your church does to help disciple children. Please leave a comment or link!
I have a dear friend who will be able to start bringing her young granddaughter with her to church. I am printing your book to give to my friend for the occasion (with a little pack of color pencils). I am not sure how well this little one reads yet, so the activities seem like a good choice. Thank you for the free resource!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We are transitioning from having Children's Church to having the children in the sanctuary with their parents. I have been looking for ideas to help with the change and this is great!
